About Northend Septic Design

Apryl’s Biography

At 18 years old, I started my career in the underground construction supply industry loading and pulling pipe and parts in at H.D. Fowler. After a few years in the warehouse, I moved into the pumps department, where I worked with septic designs, project management, doing take-offs on septic designs and also worked with installers, gaining product knowledge and septic system product compatibility.
I completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Bastyr University in Herbal Sciences. This degree taught me about local herbs, soil characteristics, lab techniques, scientific study/review analysis and how to utilize herbal medicine techniques to extract desired constituents in order to prepare herbal medicines. Learning local plants and the biological influences of soil characteristics has been a tremendous additive in understanding wastewater characteristics as it applies to the septic design field and its biological influence on application to the earth in order to aid in creating a sustainable water re-use cycle. After school, I went back to the construction field, working to train installers across Washington state on the Oscar-Loweflow installation specifics of the Oscar-Loweflow system.
I spent another year doing septic installs under a local installer, learning how to plumb and install gravity systems, LPD systems (standard pressure systems) and ATU (Aerobic treatment systems) as well as setting control panel specifics, troubleshooting installation issues and learning about site and soil characteristics as they apply to installation and septic design.
In 2020, I attained my septic design license, after passing the state mandated exams and opened my septic design business under Northend Septic Design.
My office is in Arlington, Washington. I am currently serving Snohomish, Skagit, and some of Island county. Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions.
